Kahoot - Jumble!

Kahoot is another great tool that I have seen many teachers use in their classrooms.  This is a game that student love to play.  Never used Kahoot??  Learn more about it here.

Kahoot has come out with a new game called Jumble.  In Jumble, the students have to put the four options in the correct order to form the answer.  Just like with the regular Kahoot, the students are timed and the faster they get the answer correct the more points they receive.  See an example in the video below:

Kahoot has some example Jumbles to play to see how it really works.  To see these:
  1. Login to Kahoot
  2. At the top of the page in a box you will see "New Game:  Jumble!"
  3. Click on "Play Now."

Why Is This a Great Tool

This is a great way to get students to use higher level thinking strategies.  You can create questions that are not just basic fact/multiple choice questions, put require students put more thought into the answers.

Ways To Use It In Your Classroom
  • Math - Give students the answer to a math problem and they have to create the equation
  • Social Studies - Students have to put historical events in the correct order
  • English - Students need to create a grammatically correct sentence
  • Foreign Language - Give the students the sentence in English and they have to recreate it in the foreign language
  • All Classes - Have students put the process steps in the correct order
