Sources for Educational Videos

Adding videos is a great way for a teacher to add interest to their lessons, provide additional instruction for students who need support, and push learning outside of the classroom for students who want to know more.  The problem is where to find videos.  Here are some great resources to use to find videos for your classrooms.

PBS Learning Media

This resources has lots of great instructional resources for you classroom.  When you search, you can filter for just videos.  This program integrates with Google Classroom allowing you to easily post videos to Classroom to share with students.  Some of the videos also come with activities.  

NeoK12 

This resource has videos for science, social studies, and English.  

Learn360 (Middle School Level )

This is a resource that was purchased through the media center.  There are numerous short videos, articles, maps, diagrams, experiments, and activities for a wide variety of subjects and topics.  This program integrates with Google Classroom allowing you to easily post videos to Classroom to share with students.  Stacey Wright emailed out log-in info earlier this year.  Please contact her if you need it.  

Classroom Video On Demand (High School Level)

This is another resource that was purchased through the media center.  There are numerous short videos for a wide variety of subjects and topics.  This program integrates with Google Classroom allowing you to easily post videos to Classroom to share with students.  Stacey Wright emailed out log-in info earlier this year.  Please contact her if you need it. 

YouTube EDU

This resource is a part of YouTube that gives access to educational videos from educational organizations such as PBS, Khan Academy, and Stanford University.  There are a variety of subject categories to choose from.  

National Geography

Here you will find a variety of science related videos.

TEDEd

There are a variety of videos on this site about a number of topics.  Each video comes with a little quiz students can take after viewing the video and additional resources for students to dig deeper if they would like.  

WatchKnowLearn

This resource searched through the Internet and found some great videos for the classroom.  The site is organized by subject/topic and then broken down into sub categories.  You can also filter by standard and age level.
