How do I know when to use technology?

How do I know when to use technology and when not to?  That is a commonly asked question by many teachers.  The key is to keep the learning targets in mind when planning a lesson.  Your lesson should be framed around these targets, not a specific piece of technology.  Not every lesson is going to have technology embedded in it and that is okay!

The TPACK framework does a great job of identifying how pedagogical knowledge, content knowledge, and technological knowledge work TOGETHER to transform learning.
