Increase Productivity: Google Keep

Google Keep is Google's note-taking app.  Basically, you create sticky notes that are housed on your computer, phone, and/or tablet depending on where you have the app installed.

Here are three different ways you could use Google Keep to increase productivity:

1. Create weekly/daily to-do lists
This is the most common use for Google Keep.  Keep lists of what you need to do that day or that week.  If you are going have a meeting, maybe keep a list of what you want to talk to that group or person about.

2.  Save resources for various lessons
As you are browsing the Internet, social media, and reading emails you may come across resources that you know you will want to use in the future.  Create a  Google Keep note for those resources.  Maybe create a separate note for each class and have each class note be its own color.

3.  Keep common assessment comments
As we are grading and providing feedback online, do you find yourself typing the same thing over and over?  Keep those common assessment comments in a Google Keep note.  You can type the comment once and then copy and paste it when needed.

Like all other Google applications, this integrates well with other applications.  For example, you can use this extension to quickly open up your Google Keep notes.  In Gmail, you will see the Keep icon on the right of screen.  You can open up your notes right in your email to quickly add something to a note.
