Free Image Sites

It is very easy to pull any image from the Internet and insert it into a project, worksheet, or presentation, but do you have the legal rights to that image?  It is important to be teaching our students about fair use and copyright when it comes to images.

Here are some great tips and tools for finding images that are released under creative commons or are copy-right free.

Google Images

When finding images on Google, you can use their "Tools" to find copy-right free images.  

Image Databases

There are a more and more sites popping up that contain a variety of creative commons images.  Post these resources in your Google Classroom and require students to find their images from these sources instead of doing a Google Image search.
